What’s With the Thumbs Down on Questions Where People Give Their Own Experiences or Opinions?

Question by ticktock: What’s with the thumbs down on questions where people give their own experiences or opinions?
I only give thumbs down when someone is being mean or if the answer has nothing to do with the question. But some people are giving thumbs down when others are just simply stating their own opinions. It’s even more ridiculous when they give thumbs down for somebody’s own personal experience on something. Stop being so childish.
Kellie W: yes, it does make sense, but when I ask a question, I could care less what other people think of someone else’s answer. It only matters what I think. That should be the same with others as well.
