How Do I Know if Its a Drug Abuse (COCAINE) or Just “OCD”(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)? ?
Question by Taznic: how do I know if its a drug abuse (COCAINE) or just “OCD”(obsessive compulsive disorder)? ?
My boyfriend has OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) he checks doors and windows. he also suffers form anxiety and sometimes insomnia, and sometimes thinks some1 is breaking into his flat! sometimes he says he feels ill ~like flu and sinus symptoms and gets so tierd he doesn’t do anything and has no energy! and he can sleep for days on end!!!! My boyfriend comes out of a wealthy family so money is no issue… (getting hold of it or missing work)
he is using anti depressants and Ritalin to help him concentrate and to help him get up in the morning. but, last year i had to find out form friends that he did cocaine a few times without me knowing behind my back. he later confessed and said he has stopped since then and never done it again.
but somehow i have a suspicion that he is still using it behind my back when im not with him. he has all the symptoms of a cocaine user (i have read up about it on the web) and when i confront him he blames the OCD. Im not sure anymore, it could very well be the OCD causing similar symptoms but yet again, the suspicion is always there. what must i do? Is it just OCD or is he using cocaine again and its making the OCD symptoms worse?

Just buy an at home drug test from your drug store and test him.
He needs to be tested within 3 days of his suspected use
He may be having a reaction to the meds he is on and may need to see his doctor to find new ones.
Ritalin makes you very hyper much like cocaine does.
