New Jersey IDRC Questionnaire?

Question by Nicole: New Jersey IDRC Questionnaire?
I was charged with a DUI and ordered to do 12 hours at the IDRC. I had to complete a questionnaire and I foolishly answered all the questions truthfully (I don’t know what I was thinking). I admitted to smoking pot a few times a year and having tried cocaine once. I also said I drink once a week and consume up to 4 drinks at a time. Based on these answers, the IDRC is now sending me for an “assessment” to see if I have a substance abuse problem. Other than my DUI, which I take full responsibility for and have learned from, drugs and alcohol have never interfered with my life, therefore, I know I don’t have a substance abuse problem, but I’m afraid admitting to smoking pot a few times a year will cause them to think otherwise. If the therapist assessing me decides I do have a substance abuse problem, they’ll send me to a treatment program. Can anyone tell me what the assessment process entails and if admitting to smoking pot a few times a year will have a big impact on this.
