I’d assume that the bad economy in Spain wasn’t affecting that person too badly and that the Euro was strong.

First, I don’t think you mean “Spanish people”, people who have emigrated from Spain, I think you mean Latinos; Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, etc. Second, I wouldn’t assume that just because they have a fancy car, and a nice house, that they obtained that through drug trafficking. There are those who obtain wealth legally. May I suggest more facts, and evidence to prove this statement?

EDIT: Unfortunately, though, the United States is the most successful illegal drug trade in the world. Here is a report on drug trafficking in the US:

“Diverse groups traffic and distribute illegal drugs. Criminal groups operating from South America smuggle cocaine and heroin into the United States via a variety of routes, including land routes through Mexico, maritime routes along Mexico’s east and west coasts, sea routes through the Caribbean, and international air corridors. Furthermore, criminal groups operating from neighboring Mexico smuggle cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, amphetamine, and marijuana into the United States. These criminal groups have smuggled heroin and marijuana across the Southwest Border and distributed them throughout the United States since the 1970s.”

@Locoboy– my apologies if I made an error, but I never said that Spanish people couldn’t live in Mexico. I had thought that, even though they may have White-Spanish heritage, that doesn’t mean they are “Spanish-Mexican”. They are Mexican by nationality, but it seemed like the person asking the question thought these people were Spanish, and not every Spanish-speaking person is Spanish. I was correcting them.
